Bespoke is a project I started in 2011 as a way for me to learn more about and create music. Instead of putting in the time to learn the intricacies of an existing DAW, I thought it'd be a good exercise to try to build my own. The software is custom built by me and for me, hence the name "Bespoke".
Bespoke's core design is to break everything into separate modules that can be patched together in a custom layout, much like a hardware modular. Bespoke is designed to be highly customizable, with the idea that any of the custom layouts that you create will be "bespoke" to you as well.
Bespoke is my personal pet project for making music. I did a small release of the software in 2015, but since then have taken it back into development, reworked a bunch of stuff, and added many more features and modules.
All synth software needs a cheesy self-important sizzler video at launch. Bespoke is no different:
To distribute documentation on Bespoke, as well as to create a place to discuss the software, I've created a subreddit at http://www.reddit.com/r/BespokeSynth/
Using Reddit allows me to distribute new builds with features/fixes, live update the documentation, and allow discussion between users in the alpha.
Bespoke is no longer in a released alpha and has re-entered raw development. You can follow progress at https://github.com/awwbees/BespokeSynth/
New releases may be posted to Github in the future.
